About the event

HCESC and LISC Puget Sound are excited to launch the LISC Build: Monthly Briefings.

The monthly briefings focus on timely topics impacting affordable housing and community development. LISC Build: Monthly Briefings will replace HCESC’s monthly Lunch & Learn Series, expanding the format to create opportunities for members and partners to learn from, connect with, and build relationships across a broader network.

Part of the LISC Build: Housing & Community Development Learning Series, this Monthly Briefing will provide timely insights, practical tools, and real-world examples from across Washington State.

Heirs' property is one of the leading causes of involuntary land loss across the country, particularly in historically marginalized communities. This session will explore what heirs' property is, common legal and ownership challenges, and strategies families and organizations can use to protect land, housing, and generational wealth.
