Leadership

As Executive Director of the Housing Consortium, Bobby Thompson provides strategic leadership to advance affordable housing solutions across Snohomish County. He works closely with local jurisdictions, state agencies, nonprofit developers, financial institutions, and community stakeholders to shape policy, align funding strategies, and build a stronger pipeline of affordable housing projects. Bobby leads regional convenings, educational forums, and cross-sector collaborations designed to increase housing production, improve system coordination, and elevate shared advocacy efforts. Through this work, he is focused on creating more equitable housing outcomes and strengthening the capacity of the affordable housing ecosystem across the region.

Prior to his work at the Consortium, Bobby spent 15 years leading property development and asset management efforts for Housing Hope. As the agency’s Chief Housing Officer, he oversaw the completion of 12 multifamily housing development projects through new construction, acquisition/rehab, and preservation.

His previous experience allowed him to serve as a key representative with government entities including the Washington State Housing Finance Commission, the State of Washington, Snohomish County, and multiple municipalities, as well as both county housing authorities. He has earned a CHAM designation from NeighborWorks America for his work in the asset management field.

In his personal time, Bobby serves as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Everett High School and remains actively engaged with local boards and nonprofit organizations in service to the community.
